One more thing

It was about time that I activated my blog again and used it for communicating to the virtual world and its counterpart - the real world - you! I am currently at CIU (Columbia International University) taking a module on alternative learning strategies, which includes online learning.

One assignment requires using a non-traditional educational delivery system, which includes blogging and so here I am.Two years later is not the normal use of blogging - in fact - its common use is daily to weekly, rather than yearly. But I am a busy man!

Theologically speaking God is a communicator, revealing Himself to humanity most clearly in the person of Jesus Christ. Then preserving His revelation in the Bible, which is inspired and authoritative. What do you think of Christ? How does the Bible affect your life? These are questions needing answers and how you answer is critical. Eternity rests on not only right answers, but also a right relationship with that one and same God through Jesus Christ.

The Return of the Theologian

Do not faint - it is really me! Todd take a breath! It is time to revive the blog. Let's start with God - The God of the Bible is the living God (1 Tim 4:10; Rev 7:2). His existence is not argued but assumed and affirmed. His own name as revealed to Moses identifies Him as self-existent, "I AM" (Exod 3:14). The contrast is often drawn between God and idols as between someone who is alive as compared with objects without life (1 Thess 1:9).

What is even more important is the independent nature of God's existence or life. He is different from all other living creatures in that He does not derive His life from another or any external source (John 5:26). Neither does the continuance of His life depend on anything other than Himself (Acts 17:25). All other living things are dependent on God for their continuing existence (Matt. 6:25-33). God existed before anything else did and could continue to exist without anything else. He is the author of all life (Psa 36:9).

Therefore we are totally dependent on Him for life and salvation. We exist for Him and not He for us. May each one of us live in such a way that He is exalted, given the appropriate adoration, and glorified in all things. Amen!

2006 - A New Beginning

2006 promises many new things - one of which is this new venture in communicating to other TMS graduates and anyone else who is reading blogs. Who knows what will appear on this page in the future, but may every word glorify God whose grace makes it possible.

Have a blessed 2006
